Frequently Asked Questions
Products
What does Petcadova sell?
Petcadova offers thoughtfully selected products for cats and dogs, starting with pet water fountains and related accessories designed to make everyday pet care more convenient.
How does a pet water fountain work?
A pet water fountain uses a small pump to circulate water through a filter and back into the drinking area, so your pet has a continuous flow of water. Many cats and dogs enjoy drinking from moving water.
Are the fountains suitable for both cats and dogs?
Many of our fountains are suitable for cats and small to medium-sized dogs. Please check the product page for the capacity, size, and intended pets for each model. For larger dogs, choose a higher-capacity fountain and check the water level more often.
Are the fountains noisy?
Fountain pumps are designed to run quietly. Keeping the water above the minimum level and cleaning the pump regularly helps keep noise low. A louder or unusual sound often means the water level is low or the pump needs cleaning.
Using Your Fountain
How do I set up my fountain?
Rinse all parts before first use, install the filter, fill the reservoir with fresh water, and connect the power supply. Always follow the instructions included with your specific model.
How often should I refill the water?
Check the water level daily and top it up as needed. Never let the water drop below the minimum level marked on the fountain, and replace the water entirely on a regular basis.
What is anti-dry protection?
Some models include a feature designed to stop the pump when the water level is too low. Please check the product page to see whether your model includes this feature. Even with this feature, keep the water level above the minimum line.
Cleaning & Filters
How do I clean the fountain?
Unplug the fountain before cleaning. Take it apart and wash the reservoir and drinking area with warm water and a mild, pet-safe soap, then rinse thoroughly. Clean the pump gently to remove hair and debris. Make sure all parts are dry where required before reassembling and plugging the fountain back in. Do not put electrical parts in water unless the instructions for your model say it is safe to do so.
How often should I clean the fountain?
Cleaning frequency depends on the number of pets, the environment, and how quickly debris builds up. Follow the cleaning guidance for your model, and clean more often if you notice residue, slime, or hair buildup.
How often should I replace the filter?
Filter replacement intervals depend on the model and how much the fountain is used. Follow the guidance included with your fountain, and replace the filter sooner if it looks discolored, clogged, or worn.
Do you sell replacement filters?
